Reading blueprints and planning layout

MIG, TIG, GMAW, and GSAW welding

Tack welding and fitting components

Assembly using bolts and rivets

Equipment setup and basic troubleshooting

Quality checks and inspection of finished work

Occasional use of carbon arc gouging and acetylene scarfing (Welder II & I)

What You Need to Have: The Musts:

High School Diploma or GED preferred

Ability to lift up to 75 lbs

Strong grasp of safety procedures and PPE use
-
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and production instructions

Working knowledge of welding tools and hand tools
-
Basic math skills (geometry, measurement)
-
AWS D1.1 or D1.3 welding certification (Required for Welder II or I)
-
6 months of welding experience for Welder III
-
3–5 years of experience for Welder II
-
5–7 years for Welder I, with leadership and troubleshooting capabilities
-
Ability to train others and work independently
