Patient Services Specialist, Behavioral Health at Providence Portland Medical Center- Full-Time, Day Schedule

The Patient Services Specialist is the first point of contact to patients or visitors in person or by phone. This position plays a key role in maintaining a high level of patient satisfaction by providing exceptional customer service and in addressing patient safety issues that arise with acutely ill psychiatric patients.

Required Qualifications:

  • Upon hire: In compliance with company policy and state regulations, a Department of Human Services (DHS) background check is required for this position.
  • 1 year customer service experience, or
  • Successful completion of a Providence internship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Coursework/Training: Some college.
  • 1 year Medical office or healthcare experience.
  • Basic experience with electronic medical records and/or computerized billing systems.
  • Medical terminology experience.
