JOB SUMMARY

Primary duties include: Working closely with the HR department, the HR Admin will be responsible for completing the administration of field new hire paperwork, entry and document control, support OEG’s Drug Free Workplace Program, verification of employment, unemployment claims, recognition program and special projects.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must possess a working knowledge of business and human resource practices at a level normally acquired through a combination of 2 years’ HR experience and/or education.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of multiple aspects of HR, including onboarding, HR policies and practices.
  • Maintain safe work practices
  • Maintain and safeguard confidential company information
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to get along with diverse personalities through tact and flexibility
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience in HRIS systems
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Coordinate and assist in new hire orientation paperwork for field employees
  • Assist with field new hire entry into UKG/Spectrum
  • Performs background checks and E-Verify for field new hires
  • Maintains HR documentation in UKG/Spectrum including processing and scanning pertinent documents
  • Performs administrative and clerical activities for the human resource department
  • Completes verifications of employment and other requests requiring employment verification per established processes and procedures
  • Provide support to the Drug Free Workplace Program to ensure program compliance
  • Assist with employee recognition program and awards
  • Provide backup to receptionist
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in a union environment
