Position Type: Part Time, 16 hours/week, Non-Exempt
Schedule: Two 8-hour shifts, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm OR 8:30 am - 5:00 pm; every other Saturday - Sunday, ability to work additional shifts during the week as needed
Your role with us
Come join our dynamic and collaborative acute care therapy team that works to empower patients and problem-solve barriers to patient success! As a therapy aide, you will work with occupational therapists, physical therapists and speech language pathologists at the bedside in the acute care setting. Other tasks include equipment tracking and cleaning, organizational projects and operational tasks to help keep the department running efficiently and smoothly. What you'll do
- Assist patients during therapy sessions, ensuring comfort, dignity and safety.
- Support therapists with mobility tasks using proper safety techniques.
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe therapy environment.
- Manage, clean and perform minor repairs on therapy equipment.
- Stock and organize supplies to support daily therapy operations.
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Additional Information
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire required.
- Ideal candidate will have experience in rehabilitation setting.
